Every parent hopes that their child will spend their high school years making lifelong friends, not dealing with brutal bullies determined to make their child’s life a living hell.
But when one Kentucky freshman, Logan Sanders, started having a problem with a bully, his mother had hoped the school would step up and protect her son. However, after mom Nancy Loman was contacted by the school and told that her son had been found locked in a locker, she demanded that the school do more to protect her son.
The 15-year-old football player, who has epilepsy, had been standing with his team before going out onto the field for a game when the bully forced Sanders into a locker and locked him inside. Sanders was trapped there for about 30 minutes until his coaches finally realized he was missing, and were compelled to cut the lock off because no one knew the combination.
The school immediately investigated the incident and suspended the boy for four days and sentenced him to 30 days in an alternative school program, however, Loman is concerned that the boy will be allowed back on the team after returning to school.
