BenBen is a shelter cat who sat quietly in his cage waiting for someone to take him home.
BenBen had a difficult time surviving in the streets, and when checked by a veterinarian, it was apparent a much larger animal attacked him. This cat had a sorrowful look on his face, but it’s due to the extra skin, and many deemed BenBen unadoptable.
Doctors said BenBen might never be able to walk again, and he would have to take pain medications for the rest of his life. Sadly, the shelter determined that they were going to put BenBen down, until a woman who works for an ER vet hospital heard about BenBen and decided to step in.
The woman and her boyfriend decided to take BenBen home with them just one day before his scheduled euthanasia.
They were told that BenBen wouldn’t eat or move, and it appeared as if he knew he was going to die and had given up. But, as soon as the couple took BenBen home from the shelter, everything changed.
In just one hour, BenBen was purring and cuddling, and it almost appeared as if he was trying to crack a smile.
Today, BenBen is a new cat, and besides loving food, he’s also fully able to walk, run, and jump!
