Sometimes life gives you lemons but smart cats Mohawk and Paddywhack know how to make lemonade.
The feline friends were found in a box by Toronto Cat Rescue in April of this year. The little guys didn’t have use of their hind legs, likely due to congenital issues, but they still managed to find a way to stay strong. They enjoyed life and made the most of a bad situation, adapting to the circumstances and finding maneuverability in their own way.
According to Toronto Cat Rescue, these brothers are now in need of a permanent, loving, and carpeted home. “Because they pull themselves around with their front legs and drag the back end of their body, they require a home without carpeting to cause friction burn,” a press release states.
The cats are also kept on the skinnier side of a healthy body weight, because the more mass they accumulate, the harder it is for these guys to move around. Lastly, the release tells us that the cats claw their way up furniture because jumping isn’t an option.
