When people witness a horrific accident, many unfortunately react by whipping out their cell phones and start taking photos or a video, instead of trying to help.
However, when one man noticed a group of people in the middle street gawking up at the sky, he quickly realized it was because a small boy was dangling from an apartment window several stories above. Instead of taking his phone out, the brave and selfless man named Liang Lee threw his things to the ground and started climbing up the side of the building.
The 2-year-old boy had been left home alone, and while his parents were out, he managed to fall from the apartment’s balcony window and was stuck dangling by his neck from a security window. Lee refused to sit back and let something happen to the toddler and managed to scale three stories up with nothing but his bare hands.
“I got here and found the boy barely moving,” Lee said. “His legs were shaking. I decided to climb up as I thought he was in danger… If the boy turned his head, he would fall from the gap of the bars.”
Once Lee reached the little boy, he lifted him with one hand while holding tightly onto the bars of the window with his other hand and stayed in precarious position until rescuers were able to open the apartment’s door and pull the two up to safety.
