Missing Jack Russell Terrier Turns Up Dead In A Suitcase In UK

A twelve-year-old Jack Russel Terrier named Prince disappeared from the home of his owner’s friend in Sheffield, the UK on November 5.

The RSPCA was called Tuesday morning when a suspicious piece of luggage turned up at 6:30 am. It had allegedly been dumped out of a car.

A witness, presumably a neighbor, saw a dark-colored car reverse into a garage area about half a mile away from where Prince went missing, according to the RSPCA.

The witness, couldn’t make out how many figures got out the car because it was so dark, but one left something near a hedge, according to an investigative team. It wasn’t until the sun began to rise that the witness saw the object was a piece of luggage. When he went to investigate, he discovered Prince was inside.

Inspector Dransfield of the RSPCA said, “I contacted Prince’s owner and she came to the local animal center to identify him. It was a really heartbreaking day. Naturally, she is devastated and wants to know what happened to her much-loved pet.”

Dransfield continued by saying it appeared there were no obvious signs of trauma, but the way in which the dog was found was highly suspicious.

Likewise, another dog went missing later that night, leading to further alarm in the area, but the dog was returned.
