Texas-based mom Alicia Williams definitely doesn’t mess around when it comes to the most colorful and creative day of the year.
Williams won first place in her office’s Halloween contest thanks to her unique and fun ‘head in the freezer’ costume. Alicia’s daughter, Jessica, posted images of her creepy costume to Twitter on Friday, saying, “My mom was a dead/frozen head in the freezer. She killed it!!”

Twitter seemed to agree as the photo went viral, receiving over 35,000 likes and almost 20,000 retweets.
Forty-six-year-old Williams, who works as a payroll processor, may have received a $100 gift card at work for the creepy costume, but the real prize was all the attention she’s getting on social media. Williams tells ABC News, “I tried to make the fridge look really real. I copied the LG emblem and cut it out with foil … and then I tried to make it stainless steel instead of white.”
For the fridge, she used two cardboard boxes and spray painted them silver, and she glued the food in place. But, the creepiest part was that Williams admitted to cutting her own finger. “I accidentally cut my thumb and made a real blood print for fun!” she says.
While most of the project was homemade, the human heart came from a Halloween store. For her face, Jessica blended white, blue and gray makeup for a deceased look, and “we used rock candy for the ice crystals. And spray-painted my hair silver,” Williams told US Weekly.
If you’re wondering why this mom chose such a creepy costume, she says that last year she was “double vision, which was two faces drawn on my face.” And the year before Williams was a vending machine. We guess this mom has a thing for Halloween, and we’re loving it!
