James Croot is a 7-year-old boy from Blanchester, Ohio who isn’t asking for the latest and greatest toy for Christmas.
James didn’t want a bike, a BB gun, or any of the other things young boys beg for when the holidays roll around. When James’ school had the students publically read their letters to Santa, James only wanted one thing.
The second grader only wanted to have his Dad back in his life to make his Christmas wishes come true. Aaron Croot has been serving in the Air Force and therefore not in James’s life for far too many long, hard months.
All James wanted for Christmas was to have his Dad home with him to have a great Christmas. Little did the young boy know, however, his Dad was right around the corner, listening to his son’s emotional letter to Santa.
“I love you when you are away from me, and I love you so much when you are near me,” James said in his letter. “I love you when you are deployed, and I miss you so bad.”
James immediately had his Christmas wishes come true when his father sprang out from around the corner and just like that, he was home for Christmas.
