Did you know that approximately 7.6 million homeless pets enter animal shelters every year in the United States? Or that about 2.7 million of them are euthanized?

Despite the fact that so many of these poor animals suffer, the fact remains that so many pets die before they every have a chance at a good life. No one knows this better than the heroes of Hope For Paws, the California-based rescue organized founded by animal angel Eldad Hagar.

Hope For Paws rescues countless homeless, helpless dogs in Los Angeles County every year. In the following video, we see a scared poodle who was living under a house get the rescue he thought would never come.

“Scotty lived on the streets for 5 months, and no one was able to get close to him,” Hope For Paws wrote on YouTube. “He was terrified. People fed him, but he kept hiding under a house and that’s where he lived.”
