Robert Downey Jr. – Drug Charges
According to Downy, he has been addicted to drugs since he was 8 years old, and he was arrested numerous times on drug charges, and went back and fourth to rehab.
Mark Wahlberg – Attempted Murder
In Wahlberg’s mid-teens he was charged with attempted murder when he assaulted two separate Vietnamese men. One he knocked unconscious with a wooden stick, and in the same day, he punched another in the face.
Mike Tyson – Rape
In 1991, Tyson was arrested for the rape of an 18-year-old girl, who said that Tyson pinned her down and raped her despite pleas for him to stop.
Mickey Rourke – Spousal Abuse
Mickey Rourke was an amateur boxer before he began his acting career, and in 1994 he was arrested for spousal abuse against his then-wife, Carrie Otis. The charges were later dropped
Christian Slater’s convictions wouldn’t fit in the title, so here they are: 1989- Drunk driving and assault, 1994- Tried to board a commercial airline with a loaded gun in his luggage, 1994- Assaulted then-girlfriend Michelle Jonas, and a police officer, 2005- Arrested for assault, and sexually assaulted a woman on the street.
Lindsay Lohan- too many crimes
Lets just say Lohan has probably had more spats with the law than anyone on this list, and she’s probably more famous these days for her multiple arrests than she is for her acting.
Charlie Sheen – Assault and Criminal Mischief
On Christmas morning 2009, Charlie Sheen was arrested for assaulting his third wife, Brooke Mueller who claimed Charlie pinned her down on the bed and held a knife to her throat. Sheen of course had a different story and told the police that all they did was slap each other on the arms and he broke two pairs of her glasses in front of her.
Woody Harrelson – Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Drug Possession
In 1982 Harrelson was arrested for disorderly conduct (a.k.a. dancing like a wild man in the streets), but when officers tried to arrest him, he resisted. Harrelson was arrested again in 1996 for growing hemp plants in his home.
By now everyone is aware of Ozzy Osbourne’s drug and alcohol problem, and back in 1984 Ozzy was caught drunkenly urinating on a cenotaph (honoring those that died in the Alamo in Texas). He was arrested and banned from the city of San Antonio for 10 years.
R Kelly – Child Pornography
R Kelly has had many instances with young girls. In 1996 he was sued by Tiffany Hawkins for having sexual relations with her when she was 15 and he was 24. Later, he was accused of assaulting a minor, when a video surfaced allegedly depicting Kelly having sex with, and urinating on an underage girl. Kelly’s hit song is: It Wasn’t Me…how fitting.
Jay-Z – Attempted Murder
Hova was in Manhattan super club, The Kit Kat Klub in 1999, and his associates allegedly caused a distraction to allow an opportunity for the rapper to stab record executive, Lance Riviera. He used a 5-inch blade and stabbed Riviera in the stomach, because he believed he was responsible for bootlegging Vol 3… Life and Time Of S. Carter.
Bill Gates – Driving without a license
This might be the most PG arrest on our list, but what would you expect from one of the richest men in the world? In 1975, Gates was arrested for speeding and driving without a license in New Mexico.
O.J. Simpson – Burglary
Ok, so maybe you didn’t forget about when O.J. Simpson was charged with the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994, but Simpson was also involved in more crimes. In 2007, he was arrested and initially held without bail for the robbery of a Las Vegas casino, where Simpson admitted to leading a group of men to take sports memorabilia, but only because it was his (and was stolen from him).
Hugh Grant – Sex in public with a prostitute
Hugh Grant was arrested for engaging in oral sex in public with a Hollywood prostitute when he was promoting his movie, Nine Months, and he later admitted it to Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, saying: “I think you know in life what’s a good thing to do and what’s a bad thing, and I did a bad thing. And there you have it.”
Martha Stewart – Lying To Federal Investigators And Conspiracy
Martha was sentenced to five months in jail, and a 2 year house arrest for taking insider advice from a stock broker to withdraw her shares in ImClone Systems, and the day after the stock dropped by 16%, where she avoided losing over $45,000.
50 Cent – Drug Dealing
Fitty cent was arrested for selling vials of cocaine to an undercover officer in 1994. And when his home was searched three weeks later, he was arrested again when police found heroine, ten ounces of crack cocaine, and a starter’s pistol in the rapper’s home.
Lil’ Kim – Perjury and Conspiracy
In 2005, Lil’ Kim lied to a grand jury about her friend’s whereabouts during a murder case, and not only did she serve a sentence for her lying, but she was forced to pay a $50,000, which is nothing compared to the 20 year maximum sentence she could have received.
Matthew McConaughey – Drug Possession
McConaughey’s neighbor heard commotion in his home so he called the cops on him. When the cops arrived, they found McConaughey dancing naked in the house with marijuana and other drugs around, and arrested him. He was later released because the police didn’t have a search warrant when they searched his home.
Wesley Snipes – Tax Fraud
Snipes was convicted in 2006 for tax fraud, and he made about $23 million by falsifying his taxes before being caught.
Kobe Bryant – Sexual Assault
In 2003, Bryant was arrested in connection with an investigation of sexual assault filed by a hotel employee, accusing him of raping her in his hotel room. Bryant admitted to engaging in sexual relations, but maintained that he believed the encounter to be consensual.
Tim Allen – Drug Trafficking
Before his acting career, Tim Allen Dick (his full name) was arrested for drug trafficking in 1978, and was caught with over 650 grams of cocaine in his possession. He pled guilty, but only wound up having to serve 2 years and 4 months, as opposed to the life sentence that he was convicted of.
Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious stabbed his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen to death in 1978. He later admitted to stabbing her, but said he did not intend to kill her. He was charged with murder, but never stood trial because he died of a drug overdose while out on bail.
Will Smith – Aggravated Assault
In 1989, Smith was part of a group of men that assaulted a man and left him almost blind. He spent one night in jail, and described it as the “worst night of his life.”
P Diddy – Criminal assault with a deadly weapon
Combs was recently arrested in June 2015 for assault with a deadly weapon after he was accused of assaulting one of his son’s football coaches (Diddy’s son plays for the UCLA Bruins).
Justin Bieber – DUI & Criminal assault
Leave it to Bieber to be charged with drunk driving, resisting arrest, and driving without a valid license. Back in January, the Biebs was arrested in Miami for drag racing a yellow Lamborghini, and then a few months later, he was charged with criminal assault for allegedly attacking a limousine driver.
