The 5 Worst Jobs In The World For Lazy People

Most people dread the idea of having to wake up and get to work but if you’re really lazy what are the worst jobs in the world for you?

Sure most people hate the prospect of not having enough sleep yet needing to rise and shine, look presentable and do a day’s work. But, of course, some jobs are more demanding than others.

Then you get yourself into a common thought pattern about the money you need to make ends meet, feed your family and live, versus the amount of hours you work and how much time you actually have to enjoy your hard earned cash.

So what career path should you choose if you just know that you are lazy by nature?

Firstly, we need to define the word “lazy” here so we can better understand what it really means. The dictionary definition of lazy is one who is “unwilling to work or use energy.”

It’s probably the case that you are more than happy to work and exert some energy, as long as the rewards for your toil match the effort you put in, at least mostly.

So many people find themselves employed in jobs which don’t offer them the freedoms in life that they want as they are so busy working the long hours in order to earn some extra cash.

There is a balance between not being too lazy, working hard but not too hard, and earning the money you need to survive.

Here is a list of the 5 worst jobs on the world for lazy people, as we at Lifedaily see it:

1. Postman

Some people think that being a postman is an ideal job as the hours are relatively short compared to other jobs. But the life of a postman, or woman, isn’t simple, especially if you are a lazy type and find it hard to get up in the morning. Postmen don’t have the luxury of hitting the snooze button and going back to sleep as their job demands they are up early and ready to walk some miles.

2. High Tech

In this day and age, more and more people chose a career path in High tech, working with technology, computers and the like. But did you know that High tech jobs are often very demanding and require a lot of brain power and very long hours? It is a kind of expected etiquette in the High tech world where workers are expected to stay working late at night, just to keep up with the demands of the job.

3. Stock Market

Theres nothing quite like the buzz of the pit at the stock market, be it in New York, London or Tokyo. Films like The Wolff of Wall Street portray that kind of career quite accurately, with the motto being “work hard, play hard.” This means that people who work on the stock market spend a lot of time drinking and entertaining clients, as well spending long hours at the office to clinch that vital deal.

4. Customer Service at a Call Center

Working with the general public is never easy, but customer complaints employees try to handle disgruntled customers in an effort to appease their anger and keep them loyal. This kind of job doesn’t allow for laziness as you always need to be on your toes and alert as you battle, politely, with the screaming person on the other end of the line. If it’s a quiet life you seek, being a call center worker is not for you.

5. Receptionist

Whether it’s a busy hotel or a large office, being a receptionist is not a job for a person with lazy tendencies. On the contrary, working in this field requires a person to be alert, presentable and focused all the time as the “front” for the organization or business. As well as duties like typing and welcoming people, receptionists have to answer many phone calls and always be polite and use their best telephone voice.

The question is, are you still reading this article because you are in the lazy category and want to find a job or career that won’t be too much work? Or are you among the hard workers who can’t even fathom the idea of being lazy when it comes to working?
